WOW….. Fall on the Blue Ridge Parkway is all we expected. The amazing colours that cover the mountains took our breathe away. From the reds, oranges, yellows and greens the vistas are just spectacular. The 469 miles that covers 3 states was worth every minute and should be on everyone’s bucket list.
The Golden Gate Bridge is one of the most recognizable bridges in the world. Having visited San Francisco several times, it was wonderful to get a different perspective of this icon bridge.
Grand Teton National Park is in the northwest of the U.S state of Wyoming. It encompasses the Teton mountain range, the 4,000-meter Grand Teton peak, and the valley known as Jackson Hole. It’s a popular destination in summer for mountaineering, hiking, back country camping and fishing, linked to nearby Yellowstone National Park. We were lucky enough to visit this awe inspiring piece of American country side in October 2018. With so many locations to capture epic vistas this was one those spots.
When you imagine a picturesque mill, Mabry Mill fits that to a tee. After researching our road trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway I knew that that Mabry Mill would be a certain stop. However, I was not expected it to be as crowded as it was. So, capturing an image that wasn’t filled with people was challenging. But, having waited for the right time I love the picture that I finally took. Such a wonderful iconic vista from our wonderful road trip.
Sun, Sand, Turtles and Perfection is how I describe Haleʻiwa on the North Shore of beautiful Oahu. Haleʻiwa is located on Waialua Bay and the mouth of Anahulu Stream. Approximately 55 kilometres from Waikiki by car and about 7 kilometers to Waimea Bay. This lovely secluded bay is located next to Haleʻiwa Beach Park and if you are lucky you will see the lovely sea turtles swimming and feeding in the bay.
POWER….. When I think of water thundering over a cliff, I think of the force that it generates whilst falling. This image was capture in 2013 at Niagara Falls (American Falls) captures just how powerful water can be. Niagara Falls is just an amazing spot and you can understand why it once had the title of “Top Honeymoon Destination of the World”. The colours in the water and the noise it omits is awe inspiring. Niagara Falls lies on the border of Canada and USA and is situated between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie.
The tranquil feeling that wells up from within when you are surrounded by natures beauty is truly inspiring. So for Herbert Hoover the 31st President of the United States, must have loved spending time walking through this idyllic location. This peaceful spot is located on the grounds of the Herbert Hoover National Historic Site in West Branch, Iowa. Home of the presidential library and burial place of Herbert Clark Hoover. We had the pleasure of visiting in October 2018 and just loved how this image captured the essence of location.
